Big Sneeze Causes Car Crash

This sneeze is cute; no downed trees, broken fences or wrecked cars. The only thing lost may have been the year or two that were scared out of the mother. The same cannot be said for the woman in the following story from the Associated Press on Yahoo! News:

According to New York police, the event that caused a 62-year-old driver to “drive off the road, crash into several trees and plow through a fence” was a sneezing fit. Kinda makes you want to review your Connecticut Car Insurance policy, doesn’t it?

Connecticut Car InsuranceWell, I had a brush-up with the bizarre this week…I was driving in Farmington and coming towards me is the contraption you see above. That’s right, folks! The Oscar Mayer® Weinermobile was in Connecticut! It seems to be a part of their “Good Mood Mission”, where they are taking the Weinermobile around the country “in search of good moods”. According to a press release from August 12, Connecticut is one of only a handful of states that offers a whole week of sales tax-free shopping. This year, it is held from August 13-August 21 (this Sunday). In order to qualify for the tax exemption, your purchase must be of clothing that is not “Special clothing or footwear primarily designed for athletic activity or protective use, accessories, or jewelry” and it must not exceed $300.
