I recently got back from a road trip to North Carolina and it wasn’t a short drive. Any time you drive for hours on end, it is important to take frequent stops to stretch your legs and stay alert. Not only is drowsy driving extremely risky, you have to stay on your toes for other drivers as well.
In the thirteen hours of road time I saw a car in the fast lane pull over to the left to make an illegal u-turn to go northbound, a truck veer across a couple lanes because it thought a sedan was coming into its lane, confused cars straddling two lanes in construction zones, and countless speeders.
It’s no secret that there are bad drivers out there, but seeing so many in a short period of time helped me realize even more how important my Connecticut car insurance is. For the car that made the illegal u-turn, I was only two cars behind it and with slower reflexes or looking down at the radio or my phone, an accident most likely would have occurred. Keeping your eyes on the road is constantly important.

Safety while driving cannot be understated. There is a reason why there are so many companies offering CT car insurance and various aspects to it. With 70,000 auto accidents happening a year in Connecticut, it’s something all of us will eventually face, most likely more than once.
Reviewing your CT insurance before long road trips and not driving while impaired, distracted, or drowsy will greatly decrease the chance of an accident. Drive safe!
