CT Homeowners InsuranceAfter almost two full semesters of living with the same two people, we have developed a decent routine for dinners. Rotating cooking schedules, occasionally taking out, and planning meals ahead of time have helped us to avoid eating Ramen noodles for every meal.

Although we have a nice routine going, we’ve also developed consistent meals. Our chicken stir-fry and baked ziti rival my mother’s, but it helps to branch out a bit. Finding new recipes can be a risky undertaking. You might need extra ingredients or make an error during the process, but you could also find a new staple for your recipe inventory.

Yahoo has pulled together 7 meals to try out this week. I may not attempt them all, but the Mediterranean chicken breasts look great!

As always with cooking, make sure to keep items away from your stove top besides pots and pans and make sure your smoke detectors are functioning. Spilling an accidental fire can cause massive damage to your kitchen, raising your Connecticut homeowner’s insurance. If you’re a renter like me, you may want to look into Connecticut renter’s insurance; rarely are your belongings covered by your landlord’s insurance.

So as you try new meals and conquer new tastes, remember to be safe so you don’t have to call up your Connecticut insurance agent over a silly cooking mishap. And remember that you can always save money by combining your CT home insurance and Connecticut Auto insurance policies!

A First: Music Video Shot in One Take

Having only one shot at something can be pretty unnerving. Whether it’s having the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth inning with two outs or attempting to ace a first impression, the “go big or go home” mentality can be quite stressful.

Indie rock band Death Cab for Cutie has taken this mentality and applied it to a music video for their new song “You are a Tourist.” The band will shoot the music video in one take while streaming the feed live on the internet. No band has done this before and the opportunity for error will be there for every note.

Considering hundreds of thousands of dollars are usually put into making a music video, Death Cab’s approach is definitely unique. They might be practicing 24/7, but once the camera turns on they can’t be sure what will happen. This is pretty similar to driving a car. They know what they are doing, like drivers, but an accident is possible. However, instead of calling their Connecticut auto insurance agency, Death Cab will just have to answer to those watching (unless they’re taping inside their house and were in Connecticut. Then if an accident happened they would have some explaining to do to their Connecticut homeowners insurance provider).

The band goes live at 7 p.m. EST (to view the live stream, visit their MySpace page), whether you like the band or not it could be an interesting watch. Just don’t rush home and cause an accident. It’d be tough to explain to the other driver while exchanging Connecticut car insurance papers that you just wanted to watch a music video.

How’s Your CT Insurance After April Fools’?

Connecticut Car Insurance***UPDATE: A company actually DID create a system for replying to emails via sign language. See Article.

April Fools’ has come and gone, leaving pranksters planning for next year. The Internet becomes even more entertaining on April 1st because most companies manage to incorporate some sort of April Fools’ joke on their site.

YouTube released viral videos from 1911 and Google released Google Motion, a way to reply to e-mails using sign language. Although the concept of converting sign language to typing is out of the question***, I originally thought they were coming out with a new keyboard design like the Dvorak Keyboard, one that is apparently easier to use and learn than our standard QWERTY keyboard.

Besides the Internet giants, co-workers and friends alike were pranking each other all day. Some were basic, such as switching a co-worker’s desktop image; others were more complicated, like placing post-its all over a friend’s car.

Most of the time, the day ends in good fun. However, the pranks can quickly escalate; usually basic pranks are the best. Cars are something most people should steer away from. Hindering the person’s ability to drive normally or that of other commuters can increase the risk of an accident and a look at your CT auto insurance.

Calling your Connecticut auto insurance company because your buddy thought it’d be funny to cut your brakes would be quite an interesting phone call, leaving your CT insurance agent a bit bewildered.

Hopefully you enjoyed the Internet’s April Fools’ pranks and didn’t fall victim too many times. Did you prank someone this week? Tell us about it!

Bronx Zoo Snake Lost;Out Looking for CT Home Insurance

Zoos can be a ton of fun to go to. I try to see every animal that I can, and hopefully make a pit stop at the petting zoo portion of the park. But if I’m with certain people, I know a trip to the reptile house will take some persuading.

A fear of snakes is common for many people, they’re poisonous, slimy, and move without legs. Still, I’ll visit the reptile house because they’re in a glass cage and are probably sitting around doing nothing. However, this is not the case at the Bronx Zoo.

It seems that an Egyptian cobra is on the lam and missing from its cage. Since this snake can kill an adult elephant, I don’t see myself meandering around the Bronx Zoo anytime soon until they find it. Although many snakes do not attack unless provoked, I am not willing to take the risk.

Losing a venomous snake is nothing to scoff at; if I lost something that serious it would undoubtedly involve my Connecticut car insurance or Connecticut home insurance, but it would not end up being something that would cause a panic to pedestrians.

Hopefully they round up the Egyptian cobra in a hurry, or else they could end up with a large problem on their hand, involving lawyers, their CT insurance agency, and rethinking snake cages.

Get That Ski Run In & Review Your CT Auto Insurance

Although I am waiting for the sunny days of summer, some New Englanders are clinging to the winter, hoping to get a few more ski trips in this season. December and January are big ski months, with holidays and minimum temperatures, the conditions are perfect for hitting the slopes. However, some resorts stay open as late as Easter for the maximum amount of skiing.

I am not a skier myself, but can see the draw. Heading to the mountains can definitely alleviate the annoyance that comes with shoveling and slower commutes. The snow made traffic much worse and raised CT car insurance rates left and right. But now that the snow is letting up and spring is beginning, the drive to Killington should be a smooth one.

If you are hanging on to the last round of the snow that the mountains have, enjoy it. Be careful during the drive and watch out for potholes, which may or may not be covered by your CT auto insurance. The four hour drive might seem long, but to holding on to winter might be worth it.

Enjoy the last run down the hill!
